Knitted Ballerina Doll – Evangeline

After years of sewing cloth rag dolls, I have finally branched into knitting dolls.
So here is Evangeline, a ballerina, approx 20 inches high, knitted flat and seamed. She’s got a little ballerina bunny. I think she needs a whole class of these little bunnies to teach!  xx

Pattern is now available in  my Etsy store.

Myka, Lillian and Gracie

Myka Mouse, Lillian Bunny and Gracie Bear are just waiting for their ballet class.  These are from the larger mouse and bunny (and soon to come bear) ballerina patterns.

I’ve knitted them in a mohair blend;  the yarn was supposed to be 8 ply, but really too thin, so I knitted these little sweeties on size 13/ 2.25 needles.  Exactly the same as the larger toys, but how sweet are they are little miniatures!

Knitting knitting and more knitting

I’m heading in a new direction this year.  Rather than procrasti-knitting, I am actively designing and knitting an loving it.

First…
Myka Mouse

So I’ve been playing around with turning some of my most popular cloth doll designs into knitted designs.
Here’s my first attempt. This is based on Miss Mouse – similar in size to my Miss Mouse cloth critter pattern – 16 – ish inches.

Pattern is available in my Etsy Store, website, TradeMe store, as a printed pattern or PDF download.

Procrasti-knitting Part 2

Cushions, cushions, cats and a knitted throw

What to do with all the left over natural yarns from the cushions?  Make a throw!

The cushions are now the cats’ property.  (Introducing Mikey – the big lilac cat, Lottie – the chocolate, and Olive – the cinnamon.

Procrasti-knitting – waiting for inspiration

I feel I have been really lacking inspiration for the doll-making lately.  However you can’t keep fingers ‘silent’ so I am knitting, knitting knitting.

Haha not sure what I will do with them, but there’s some mice on the knitting needles now!
